Dr. Scott is passionate about taking care of her patients and supporting their oral health. She is committed to providing her patients with gentle, state-of-the-art care in a friendly, safe, stress-free and comfortable environment. By educating you about your dental health, Dr. Scott works with you to create personalized treatment plans that fit your needs.
Originally from California, Dr. Scott obtained her Bachelors in Microbiology from Howard University. She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard’s College of Dentistry in 1986. After graduation, Dr. Scott worked at Kaiser Permanente before establishing her own practice in Alexandria, Virginia in 1989. During her long career in the dental field, she has mentored many recent dental graduates and has been the past president of Newman C. Taylor Dental Society.
Dr. Scott has pursued extensive training in implant dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Implant Association where she completed her Fellowship in 2007. She is also a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the Northern Virginia American Dental Association. After completing the full training series at Implant Seminars with Dr. Arun Garg, she now serves as a Clinical Instructor and Mentor for new doctors in Dr. Garg’s Implant & Socket Preservation Course.
Dr. Scott is certified in Oral Conscious Sedation, Invisalign, Advanced i-CAT techniques, and Radiographic Interpretation. She uses the latest in 3D digital technology to provide the highest quality care and continues to pursue continuing education to further hone her craft.
In her free time, Dr. Scott enjoys sewing new outfits, cycling, spending time with her son Abraham and her dog, Gigi. You can often find her riding her bike up and down the East Coast.
